LISBON 1 Night
Flying into into Lisbon pick up a self drive car from Budget car-hire company and drive to Lisbon, you will overnight in the charming Hotel Heritage Avenida Liberdade.
Visiting Lisbon is a must with its Heritage monuments, Jerónimos Monastery and the Tower of Belem, walk along the medieval quarters of Alfama and Mouraria, crowned by the magnificent St. George`s Castle and feel the atmosphere of this “old” historical town.
Enjoy one night the typical streets of Bairro Alto and Madragoa and have a chance to dinner in a local Fado Restaurant and listen this typical song.
Lisbon – overnight

LISBON / FATIMA 1 Night (147 Km)
Start your journey driving North direction to the famous Marian Shrine, Fátima, by a landscape rich in windmills and fruit trees but on the way don't loose the chance to visit the medieval walled Town of Óbidos, known by its typical white houses, flowered windows and narrow streets paved with beautiful stone, all encircled by the walls of a 12th century castle.
Enjoy the area nearby visiting the national Monuments in Alcobaça with the first and largest gothic church in Portugal with the tombs of D.Pedro and Inês de Castro, known by it’s love story, in Batalha the Monastery of Santa Maria de Victoria, a masterpiece of the gothic in Portugal where we can find the tomb of Henry the Navigator, the promoter of the maritime discoveries, and the most picturesque fishing town of Nazaré, a good place for a lunch break.
Fátima - overnight.

FATIMA/VISEU 1 Night (220 Km)
Start in the morning with a visit to the Sanctuary and the Basilica where Our Lady of Fátima appeared in 1917 to the Three Little Shepherds, this magnificent sanctuary was built to honour this miracle, where there are the tombstones of shepherds - and the Chapel of Apparitions, heart of the shrine, which marks the exact spot where the Virgin Mary appeared. Complement with a visit to Aljustrel to the houses where the three little Shepherds, Jacinta, Francisco and Lucia were born. Before you start your journey driving to Northen Portugal to the charming hilltop city of Viseu, recommend to visit the near little town of Tomar, the development of the city is closely linked to the Order of the Templars, which received these lands in 1159 as reward for the assistance they gave Dom Afonso Hernriques (first king of Portugal) in the Christian re-conquest of the territory. The city is dominated by a 12th Century castle, which is a must see, the castle includes the remarkable Convento de Cristo, World Heritage by the UNESCO, symbolize the old heritage that the Templar Knights and their successors, the Order of Christ.
Following days start a unique drive trough the unforgettable greenest region of the country to discover the towns where the history of Portugal was born.
Drive North through the heart of Portugal entering in the mountainous hinterland where lies Viseu, a city connected with Portugal`s oldest hero, Viriato, the lusitan chief. Center of the Dão vineyards.
Viseu – overnight.

VISEU / VIANA DO CASTELO 2 Nights (138 Km)
A morning to explore the historic city of Viseu with fortifications, the town keeps remains of the Gothic walls, noteworthy are the Romanesque/Gothic cathedral, remains of ancient fortifications, and Grao Vasco Museum with important painting collections.
Drive across Serra do Marão entering in the Port wine region direction to Portugal's Northwest corner, the most beautiful province in Portugal, Alto Minho, to overnight the following 2 nights in the charming city of Viana do Castelo, situated at the mouth of the Lima river, between the ocean and the mountains.
Travelling through the vineyards and the breathtaking landscapes of the Douro Valley and visit on the way the charming Mesão Frio, although small is worth visiting and Peso da Régua, the peaceful town overlooking the valley of the river Douro and Amarante with its picturesque bridge and the outstanding ancient houses with beautiful wooden and wrought iron balconies.  Viana do Castelo is famous for its Handicrafts and the magnificent view from Santa Luzia hilltop.
The most famous spots include: the elegant Square “Praça da República” with its arcaded building of the Igreja da Misericórdia; the old town hall; the castle and a 15th Century Cathedral that has a fortress-like feeling. The fabulous Basilica is dated from 1926; it is in honour to Saint Luzia, you can go up to the top of the Basilica and appreciate the amazing view over the town, the river Lima mouth and the sea.
Nearby., visit the interesting small town on the South bank of the Lima river in Portugal and facing a magnificent Roman bridge, the historical town Ponte de Lima, one of the most beautiful towns in Portugal.
Viana do Castelo – overnight 2 nights.

Take the way South to Porto for 2 overnights stay, starting to visit Barcelos, a historical city rich in popular handicraft where the Galo de Barcelos (the rooster of Barcelos) legend was born becoming, the miraculous rooster, became symbol of Portugal.
Braga know as the "Portuguese Rome" for its concentration of religious architecture, as the oldest Cathedral in the country, 12th century, and the 18th century Shrine of Bom Jesus do Monte Sanctuary with famous baroque stairway; that overlooks the whole city.
Proceed to the historic and pleasant city of Guimarães, Portugal's birthplace of the first King of Portugal with the Medieval Castle on the top of the highest hill of Guimarães and the Palace of the Dukes of Bragança which dates back to the 15th century, a walk in the medieval quarter takes you back in time.

The Porto town, located on the right bank of Douro river, offers the delights of a riverside city.
During your stay you will join a sightseeing tour of Porto to enjoy and admire the city, its monuments and the historic centre of the city that was classified as UNESCO world heritage.
The Porto city Douro River Waterfront, Ribeira, still preserve the atmosphere of the old times when the “ Rabelo” boats transported the Port wine down the river. On the South bank of the Douro river is located Gaia, that nowadays is located the best wine cellars of the famous wine that you will have the opportunity to visit and taste the wine.
